How Internet works?

When you want to access a website or other online resource, your computer sends a request to the appropriate server using the IP address of that resource. The server then sends the requested information back to your computer, which displays it to you in the form of a webpage, video, or other type of media.

There are several different technologies and protocols that are used to transmit data over the internet, including Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and User Datagram Protocol (UDP). These protocols determine how data is packaged and sent over the internet, and help ensure that data is delivered reliably and quickly.

The internet is also made up of a series of networks that are connected to each other, with each network being responsible for a specific geographic area or group of users. For example, your internet service provider (ISP) is responsible for the network that connects your home to the internet. When you access a website or other online resource, your request is first sent to your ISP's network, where it is then forwarded to the next network along the way until it reaches the server that hosts the website you're trying to access.

Overall the internet is a collection of connected networks, working together to exchange data, routed by gateways and routers, using standardized protocols to facilitate the data traffic. And depending on the distance and number of hops to get to a destination, the internet is divided in to LAN, WAN, WLAN and Internet.
